This animated postcard series was inspired by Posterheroes’ Seeds of Kindness campaign for a motion design study. We were tasked with developing a phrase that resonated with us and bringing it to life through animation and code. My inspiration came from a line in Vincent van Gogh’s letter to his brother: “If I am worth anything later, I am worth something now.”

Since the full quote was too long for the card, I shortened it to fit the format. The design features the typeface Termina Black set against a custom gradient background created in Adobe Illustrator. This project marked one of my first experiences coding in After Effects. When viewers scan the postcard with Artivive, the piece comes to life with refracted wave motion and a soft glow that amplifies the message.
